This blazing bright 81-S is a must-see! The obverse has rolling S-mint cartwheel luster and clean PQ surfaces. But as soon as you flip the coin over your jaw drops from the astounding geometric pattern with a wild flurry of different colors including green, gold, blue and pink caused by extensive storage at the end of a hand-wrapped paper roll. Just imagine opening up an old paper roll, only to find this BEAST on the end! Many EOR toners tend to be O or P mints, but with S-mint luster combined with the stunning pattern and colors, this coin puts itself into an entirely new league. A very special piece, which also happens to be housed in an old PCGS 2.1 holder (it is missing the outer gasket, which is why it looks like a rattler). Not surprisingly this stunner of a coin earned CAC's approval as well. An obverse toned EOR Morgan brought $3,700 last December. We feel the colors and patterns on this piece are even more wild, with far more greens.
