A gem key date conditional rarity. 1914-D $2.5 MS65 PCGS CAC is not seen frequently at all. Though there are 55 grading events for this grade, there are only 5 cac approved between PCGS and NGC. CAC approved sales range from $26,401, $35,250, $39,101 & $43,125, representing nearly all the 5 except for this coin, typically seen one every 3 years with the last sale in 2018 and none offered there after. Since 2018, Indian Quarter Eagles have exploded in demand and prices, more so even for key dates. The present example has original light salmon pink hues seen in the fields of the obverse and reverse over attractive tan gold. A very original example that has not been dippled, cleaned or improved upon at all. Clearly not a processed 65 like many on the market. This coin is bested only by 1 ms65+ a non-cac.
