1893 $2.5 MS66 PCGS CAC

Low mintage (30,000) liberty gold quarter eagle that has been clumped with common 1900's $2.5 that are typically around 200,000 mintage. This 1893 $2.5 MS66 PCGS CAC is a conditional rarity census example. At MS65 CAC, these have sold for approximately $2,000, whilst at MS66 PCGS CAC, the latest CAC example sold for $5,520 08/21 ST and no sale prior that for 3 years. These fortunately come very well struck, and the present example is certainly attractive with beautifully struck details on both the obverse and reverse on top of superior full blast satin-like luster. There are only a few certified finer and with only 2 cac approved among them. This represents a great price point unless you don't mind waiting and paying 5X more.
