How beautiful -
Interesting facts - Though the 1892 has a lower mintage than the 1893, it is actually a little easier to find in Gem and Superb Gem condition. The quality and eye appeal of uncirculated examples can vary greatly. The 1892 Columbians can be be frosty white to varying degrees, toned both beautifully or downright ugly and all the "shades" in-between, and (rarely) semi-prooflike. Some examples have very sharply struck sail and hair detail, others are somewhat weakly struck. The bottom line: look for attractive, well-struck examples, they are not that hard to find.
