1877 T$1 MS64+ PCGS CAC

Premium CAC Colored 1877 Trade Dollar. Approximately 2,500 1877 T$1 are known in all grades, majority of which are in circulated condition. Finer than MS64 all Trade Dollars become incredibly rare. PCGS estimates only 5 unique examples at that. At MS64+ PCGS CAC, the last CAC sale was almost a decade ago for an un-toned example that sold for $4,700 11/13 HA, with the last 65 CAC sale at $13,800. None of the aforementioned coins were remotely toned or as attractive example as this. With vibrant neon hues behind all the devices in sparkling blue, yellow and red, the coin glisten and has a level of eye appeal typically seen on GEM Trade Dollars. The reverse and obverse has an almost painted three dimensional element and the reverse is one of the most attractive we have seen. No comps are indicative of this example's color and desirability and this is sure to bring a strong premium in today's market.
