1877-S T$1 MS61 PCGS

Trade dollars were originally meant for use in China with some traded locally. 1877-S T$1 is one of the more available dates and grades up until mint states are easily obtainable. In mint-state like most Trade dollar they become very rare. The offered example graded MS61 by PCGS, posses tremendous color unseen with Business Strike Trade Dollars. Both the obverse and reverse predominantly posses two colors 1) beige tan 2) deep turquoise blue. The example has substantial luster but with the toning is subdued. The reverse blue screams almost as if it was painted. No comps exist for such color.
