Ever increasing in popularity, 1876 20c in recent years has surged in both interest and pricing. Whilst toned 20c proof predominantly dominates the market in terms of availability, one seldom sees the opportunity in finding an original twenty example from 1876 with frosty mirrors, black-to-white cameo surface and near blast white milk colors. No recent auction records are seen except 6 years ago as PR64 CAM PCGS CAC for $5,700 11/17 HA. Today the market is much hotter and a non-cac will fetch almost $5,000 as did the most recent PCGS example a non-cac for $4,920 02/2021, whilst a grade lower PR63CAM PCGS CAC just sold for $3,960 08/2021. This example no doubt is superior than all and has just recently been graded.
