1870 $3 AU58 PCGS CAC

1870 $3 is by no means a common Three Dollar gold date. It is infact one of the rarest with a paltry mintage of 3,500. In AU58 and finer this coin becomes conditionally very scarce with price point and value investors highly interested. In recent years there have been many market makers in 1870 $3 which has caused a huge demand increase in this date. The last comp exists for a non cac for $3,360 in 2019. Despite the demand, this coin offered has attractive tan over deep red toning. The volcanic red is seen surrounding the legend in the obverse and reverse and as such has many multiple interest factors going on for this date and coin.
