Morgan Dollar
This wonderful crescent toned Morgan features every color of the rainbow atop rich lustrous surfaces. Crescent toners themselves are not unusual, but what makes this coin special is just how perfect all of the colors are. A bold spectrum of radiant gold, fiery orange, deep violet, and blue-green hues that transition into magenta, amber, and warm golden highlights. These vibrant colors, enhanced by smooth, reflective surfaces and strong cartwheel luster, create a captivating visual effect that underscores the coin's originality and exceptional eye appeal. The obverse is further distinguished by a clean cheek on Liberty and a notably strong strike, indicative of minimal contact marks and excellent preservation. With its crisp strike, satin-like luster, and frosted textures, the reverse adds a refined elegance to the coin. There are no toning breaks, the colors are BRIGHT, and the untoned area is perfectly clean and crisp. What is even more unusual is that the coin is an 1888-P, which is a tougher date to find with attractive rainbow toning. We love the look of this one, not to mention the fact that it is housed in an old green PCGS holder Gen 3.1 and is CAC approved.
