1870 10C MS65 PCGS CAC

Gem Mint State 1870 Liberty Seated Dime, an under-valued issue with a mintage of 470,500 of which only 500 are known today. The remaining 470,000 because of the Civil War, very few exports were conducted, thus most pieces were subject to heavy commerce use. As such finding an example finer than MS64, especially CAC, is extremely tough, as the issue becomes a Condition Census in MS65. Attractive brilliant silver surface decks the fields with frosty luster over sharply defined and struck devices. Finer than this MS-65 gem grade, only 4 examples are graded higher. At MS65 PCGS CAC this coin is a CAC POP 2 with this exact example most recently selling for $5,160 01/2022 HA and with one prior sale 12/20 ST for $4,560 for a different example. We believe this is prized with significant upside potential.
