This 1800 $1 ANACS OH Draped Bust Silver Dollar certified XF45 by ANACS in an Old Soap Box holder, is a well-preserved mid-grade example of early U.S. coinage. Struck with the Type 2 Heraldic Eagle reverse, this issue reflects the refined design introduced in 1798, featuring a more formalized eagle and shield motif, paired with Robert Scot’s Draped Bust portrait of Liberty. The obverse shows even some wear across the high points, with Liberty’s curls and drapery lines remaining sharply defined for the grade. An incredible amount of luster is retained for an XF coin. A base of silvery gray is framed by champagne-gold, olive-bronze, and pastel green toning at the rims, particularly prominent near the stars and denticles. The blends toning in shades of navy, violet, golden-bronze, and steel-blue surrounding the eagle and legend. Considering the last auction records have sold for $5,280 07/25 HA and $5,280 01/24 HA for PCGS examples which were not impressive nor toned, we see this representing great value. PCGS Price Guide $6,750.
