1860 $2.5 AU55 OLD REV. PCGS CAC

Only 50 examples are known today in all grades and all conditions for this incredibly rare and underrated issue. 1860 $2.5 comes in two types, Type 1 ( Old Reverse ) and Type 2 ( New Reverse). There are only 50 T-1 and 150 T-2. Both are incredibly rare, but the present example is T-1 and one of 50. Of the 50, only 9 are CAC certified in all grades. AU55 has a CAC Pop 2, with the last sale 12 years ago. In fact in the past 12 yeare there has also been only one NON-CAC sale which which sold last year for $3,000. With a PCGS Price Guide of $3,750, and no AU58 sale as well for 12 years these are incredibly rare safe to say. The coin is accurately graded in our opinion and represents a perfect au55 cac. A very under-rated issue at the current price point in comparison to its rarity in our opinion.
