1860 $1 PR64+ CAMEO PCGS CAC

From a tiny minage of 1,330 1860 Proof Seated Silver Dollars, a few are seen with cameo designation. Partly because most were destroyed by the Mint as only few hundred 1860 $1 PR were releasted to collectors. The offered example has an attractive gold toning over blue-grey devices over deeply mirrored surfaces. Examples with a cameo finish are seldom encountered, and just 12 ranks finer at PCGS. Attractively toned CAC cameo seated dollars are very rare. The most recent 1860 $1 PR Cameo example sold was a 1860 $1 PR64+ CAMEO non-cac for $7,200 03/2020 SB with no CAC comp and an 1862 $1 PR64+ CAC NON CAMEO for $9,000 10/2020. PCGS Price Guide $10,000.
