1857-D $2.5 MS61 PCGS CAC

Mintage 2,364 with 125 known today in all grades, this Dahlonega quarter eagle a Condition Census example is unique for its quality and CAC approval as the only Uncirculated issue, in fact in all grades CAC has just approved 6 examples and this is the single finest CAC example at that with the only UNC CAC certified piece. With a CAC AU55 selling for $10,010 08/21, one can image the rarity with which a superbly choice fully struck uncirculated MS61 would command in today's market at auction. Whilst a few are graded UNC, PCGS estimates 10 unique pieces, we believe only 2 at most are un-cleaned and original though none nice enough for CAC approval. With bright yellow gold hues over sharply struck devices for the issue, the coin is a superb example and the Dahlonega you should acquire.
