1854 $3 MS64 PCGS

From a small mintage of 138,618 with only approximately 30 finer than the present MS64 grades, 1854 $3 is the first year $3 were struck and in lower grades is available up until MS62. Any finer than MS62, this coin jumps in value with MS64 representing good purchase power. With recent increases in bids, the market and demand for 1854 and other dated $3, price has skyrocketed. The most recent comp is $5,600 11/21 DL whilst PCGS Price Guide - $6,250. The offered example is uniquely void of hits commonly seen on MS64, the luster swirling and untouched. We would not be surprised to see this eventually in an MS65 holder. One of the most choice $3 in MS64 we have seen!
