1793 1C Chain America G06 PCGS

First Year Key Date for this uber popular Chain America Large Cent. No numismatic collection is complete without owning a beautiful problem free Chain Cent. While some can afford P01 and others SP67, the key remains in finding an attractive example void of major problems. This G06 certified by PCGS is exactly that, a well detailed example with liberty's hair presenting significant visibility more than the G06 suggests. We have seen VF examples with less hair details than this example. Nonetheless, the core strength of this example remains in the surface of the coin void of any major problems and as good as a chain cent planchet will get. Liberty is clearly visible, as is the date and the chain on the reverse. Last two comps were in 2019 and 2018 both sold for $8,400, though one of them was a choice albeit had a two tone streak, the other had a deep obverse cut above the date. Acquiring a choice example in today's market for one of the greatest American coins should be a prized collection.
