One of the most popular medals: Undated (1790s) Washington Medal, Baker-265, W-10900, R.5. Later die state with die break at Washington's nose as seen nearly on all examples. Brassy surfaces are minimally worn but some softness in strike is seen as commonly known. Listed on page 80 of the 2010 Guide Book featuring soft brown color. A historical piece of Washington himself. This exact example last sold 13 years and since then only 1 other AU58 PCGS example a non-CAC sold. A CAC pop of 5 in all grades. Finer than this, there exists only a single CAC example finer at MS64. Highly popular and coveted George Washington medal that features a tremendous amount of Numismatic history.
From The Cedar Crest Collection. 05/2010. Lot#29 Heritage Auctions.
