WW2 Super Gem Steel Penny Issue. Struck in abundance and common up until MS67+, in MS68 these become conditional rarities. Finer than MS68, there are 3 certified at MS68+ and a CAC example for half a grade higher will cost approximately $35,000. The present example is flawless as one would expect. Thick luster covers the obverse and reverse and no hint of fly speck, corrosion or spots as commonly seen on 1943 1C are noted. Last MS68 CAC examples sold for $5,912 05/22, $4,465 12/21, $4,080 08/21 and $6,000 06/21. CAC Price Guide $4,880 and PCGS Price Guide $4,500. These have been performing very well recently at auction, and we are pleased to offer under the above quoted comps.
