A superbly toned mercury dime in a penultimate MS68 FB grade. Fully struck with variegated rose, sea-green, and orange-gold toning drifting toward the obverse borders and over most of the reverse. The lustrous, satiny surfaces are essentially pristine, as expected. All relevant CAC comps within the past decade have sold between $5,000-$6,000 and NONE OF WHICH ARE REMOTELY AS ATTRACTIVE or toned. Half a grade higher ms68+ which this coin merits becomes a $28,500. At a public auction this should hit a new record.
