1937 5C PR66 GOLD CAC OH NGC

From a tiny mintage of 5,769, 1937 Buffalo Nickel Proofs are one of the most affordable proof rarities relative to their mintage. Despite most example surviving today, the present example encased in an old fatty "soap box" holder graded GEM PR66 with a GOLD CAC sticker is by no means common. We see absolutely no hits or marks, in fact the coin in our opinion has claims to cameo-like surface as well beyond the technical higher grade. Whether a 68 or 68+ or lower, the coin is unquestionably near perfectly struck and the mirrors are clear are full. There has been one PR66 GOLD CAC which was also an NGC Fatty but sold 10 years ago in 05/2012 HA for $2,760 but GOLD CAC have been performing exceptionally well recently. PR67+ CAC typically sell between $2,000-$3,500, whilst 68 CAC between $5,500-$6,000.
