1934 10C MS68 FB CACG
Mercury Dime
The 1934 Mercury Dime, graded MS68 FB by CAC, represents one of the finest known survivors of a massive 24,080,000-coin mintage. Despite its common date status, only a fraction of examples approach this superb level of preservation and definition, with a survival estimate of roughly 5,000 pieces and only four certified by CAC, none finer. This virtually perfect specimen displays radiant, frosty mint bloom and exquisite multicolored toning that frames both sides with subtle iridescence. The coin glows with a refined blend of soft champagne-gold and silvery brilliance that radiates from the central portrait, accented by delicate rose-gold, amber, and lilac hues along the periphery. Smooth, satiny cartwheel luster rolls across the cheek and fields, while hints of golden-orange and pale blue appear around the legends and date. No CAC example has traded at auction.
