The $2.50 Sesquicentennial one of the two issued commemorative coin which celebrates the 150th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. The obverse portrays Liberty holding a torch in her right hand and a scroll in her left while the reverse is an image of the Independence Hall. Although mint state examples are easily found, they are never seen in such colors as this example. The vibrant colors, in a way depict Liberty and the Independence Hall in a sunset scene, where the Declaration of Independence is being finalized at the end of the day. It is a significant example with exceptional colors that symbolizes a momentous timeline in American history, and has to be seen in hand to appreciate the orange hues that this coin depicts.
