The 1915-S Indian Eagle originates from a limited mintage of 59,000, with only a handful saved by collectors or shipped overseas. The 1915-S is quite rarer than the ones issued from 1910-1914 by the San Francisco Mint, thus making it a semi-key date. The 1915-S Indian Eagle exhibits excellent color which radiates light to medium marmalade orange. Most of these coins are very acutely struck and most have excellent luster, and this present example is just that.

We are proud to present this exceptional piece, a definition of a slider, with just minimal to none traces of friction seen on the highest points of the issue. In fact we would not flinch if we saw this in an AU58+.  It is estimated that Mint State survivors are rare and out of those survivors, only 10 CAC examples in Mint State have received a green bean across all Mint State grades. The surfaces have a full beaming mint luster with stunning original orange-gold to almost halloween-like orange patina that is a real delight to behold. The coin is pin-point struck and possesses great eye appeal that will undeniably attract any gold collector. If CAC-approved Gold Eagle Indians are part of what you seek to collect for, then you know this is a very challenging date to find any finer. The last CAC sold for $5,520 08/23 HA, for an inferior example which has copper spots and is underwhelming, whilst the last NGC CACs a better example for $6,169 09/22 LE and $6,600 05/22 HA. With a CAC Price Guide today of $6,900 and this attractive piece housed in an older blue holder with superb color, we believe it should sell for more.
