Tied For Finest at CAC. The 1915 Barber Dime represents one of the finest known survivors of this final-year Philadelphia issue and within the Condition Census. Despite its general reputation as a common date, the 1915 is notably scarcer in top-end Mint State, particularly with CAC approval and vivid album toning. From a mintage of just 5.62 million, production fell sharply compared to the preceding two decades, and this coin’s exceptional state of preservation places it among the elite—only nine graded MS66+ by PCGS, with just five finer, and none finer at CAC. The obverse radiates with lively cartwheel luster, framed by vibrant rings of tangerine, magenta, olive-bronze, and lavender, creating a richly toned presentation across Liberty’s portrait. The reverse displays a brilliant golden core, encircled by rose, cobalt blue, and violet iridescence, forming a balanced, classic album-toning halo. Both sides are fully struck and frost-laden, with crisp detail in the LIBERTY band, wreath elements, and central motifs. An ideal acquisition for the Registry Set builder or advanced type specialist, this superbly toned Premium Gem showcases the artistry and enduring beauty of the Barber Dime series at its finest.

The Jett Collection.
