1914 $2.5 MS64+ PCGS CAC
Indian Quarter Eagle
Among the most desirable and conditionally scarce issues of the Indian Head Quarter Eagle series, the 1914 Indian Head Quarter Eagle is highly coveted due to its low mintage of 240,000, making it the second-lowest mintage issue in the series, surpassed only by the key-date 1911-D. The PCGS Price Guide values this issue at $9,500, with a PCGS population of 72 in Mint State and 73 finer. CAC-endorsed specimens remain in strong demand, with only 10 examples graded finer by CAC, reinforcing the coin’s rarity and desirability. Recent auction results vary based on quality and when it sold but the only 2 auction in 2025 are for a non-Plus selling for $9,000 04/25 ST, whilst a plus CAC for $7,313 01/25 GC. Unlike many 1914 examples which are seen with major hits in the field, this example is superb and worth of purchase. Next grade in MS65 PCGS CAC if ever available would be worth north of $30,000.
