The 1913-S Barber Quarter is one of the "big three" key dates in the series, along with the 1901-S and 1896-S, and is celebrated as one of the great rarities of Barber quarters. With a mintage of just 40,000, it holds the lowest business strike mintage of any 20th-century silver coin. Few examples have survived in high grades, making mid-grade, problem-free specimens like this one highly sought after, as most of the 1913-s 25c would cost mid 5 figures in Mint State. So this is an exceptional chance to upgrade and elevate your Registry set. This San Francisco Mint key date exhibits an obverse with almost a circ-cam look, whilst the reverse a full circ-cam look. A CAC-approved example has not appeared at auction since 2012. CAC Value $10,000, but next CAC approved grade is a single AU55 then jumps to Mint State which will cost much more.
