This 1913 Barber Dime, a Premium Gem at the peak of the grading spectrum, exemplifies superior strike quality, original eye appeal, and rare CAC endorsement. Its softly framed toning, pristine surfaces, and bold definition make it a superb addition to any top-tier Registry Set, toning-focused cabinet, or Barber Dime type collection. It ranks among the finest known survivors of the issue, with only two coins attaining this grade at PCGS and none finer certified by CAC. Though struck in large numbers—over 19.7 million pieces—virtually none match the immaculate preservation and refined visual appeal of this superb Premium Gem. Brilliant and frosty throughout, the coin features softly iridescent peripheral toning on the obverse in shades of champagne-gold, russet-orange, and bluish-gray, beautifully framing Liberty’s sharply struck portrait. The reverse offers a vibrant silver-white center encircled by subtle rings of copper-gold and tobacco-bronze, enhanced by delicate album-style iridescence. Both sides exhibit uninterrupted mint frost, smooth satiny surfaces, and bold cartwheel luster. Its last recorded auction appearance brought $1,801 03/19 HA with no public sales reported in a higher grade—underscoring its condition rarity and Registry Set appeal. This coin is a superbly preserved and aesthetically balanced example, worthy of placement in an elite Barber Dime cabinet.
