Commemorating the centennial year of late president Abraham Lincoln was the introduction of the Lincoln Cent in 1909 by engraver Victor David Brenner (VDB). Though huge mintage figures of almost 28 million pieces, do not let the numbers distract you from a survival rate of a mere 0.14%. This brilliantly toned example boasts vivid algae-green  neon pink and apricot orange on the obverse whilst nearly a full red reverse with splashes of neon green surrounds the coin. The last MS67 RB PCGS CAC sold for $1,080 04/24 ST for an untoned example, with a slightly toned example selling for $1,469 07/15 LE - None of which were remotely as nice as this piece or even of similar caliber. This would be close to the best example to acquire for the date and type.
