Recently rediscovered from a European holding where this coin was already graded, and brought back to the U.S, this absolutely fresh key premium gem 1909-S Eagle stands far above the average as a condition census example. The late great David Aker's in 1988 stated that only a few perhaps 3 nicer than gem status were known.
