As the only Indian Head Cent ever struck at the San Francisco Mint, the 1908-S has a modest mintage of just 1,115,000 coins. This Gem example, one of only 18 graded MS65 Brown by PCGS with none finer, and just 12 approved by CAC and also none finer, exhibits exceptional originality, surface quality, and visual appeal. The coin glows with rich satiny luster beneath a dynamic blend of antique copper, olive-bronze, and rose-gold, accented by subtle lavender and peach hues around the LIBERTY headband. Touches of faded mint red linger in the shield and bow, suggesting minimal handling and careful long-term preservation. With no recorded sale in higher grades and the last public sale in 2021 this coin today has a CAC Value of $1,500 as does PCGS.
