1908-D 10C MS67 PCGS CAC EX SIMPSON
1908-D 10C MS67 PCGS CAC EX SIMPSON
Tied at CAC For Finest. Unattributed Repunched Date. The 1908-D Barber Dime is an exemplary survivor of the series, representing the absolute pinnacle of preservation for this Denver Mint issue. With a mintage of 7,490,000, this date is relatively common in lower grades; however, in Gem Mint State and finer, it is significantly scarcer. Its surfaces are remarkably pristine and lustrous. While the 1908-D issue is generally well struck, examples with this level of preservation and eye appeal are extraordinarily rare, making this a true trophy piece for elite collectors and Registry Set competitors. The coin’s superior quality and scarcity have commanded significant market attention. PCGS reports a total of seven coins graded MS67, with only one finer example known a MS67+.
