Actually a POP 1/1 not POP 2/1, this example is the Second Finest 1907-S Barber Dime. A highly desirable example from the San Francisco Mint, notable for both its condition rarity and refined eye appeal, it is the second rarest S-Mint issue in Mint State even rarer than its other S mint lower minted examples. This premium gem is surpassed by only 1 example finer that is locked up in the Hansen Collection. The obverse is bathed in vintage grey toning, accented by nuanced overlays of teal, rose, and amber-gold, with steel-blue and russet peripheral hues. Beneath this beautifully blended toning, the surfaces remain silky and untouched, with soft frost and full cartwheel luster that rotates smoothly across the fields. Strike detail is exceptional for a San Francisco Mint issue.
