Unattributed 1906-S/S 10C RPD & RPM FS-301, a major variety. Beyond the variety this is also Tied For Finest At CAC Pop 2/0 and PCGS. This 1906-S Barber Dime, a richly toned and sharply executed example, stands out as a superb specimen of San Francisco Mint craftsmanship, offering both advanced color complexity and high-end technical preservation. The obverse is enveloped in a deep, iridescent palette of midnight-blue, indigo, and violet, with fiery accents of burnt-orange and coppery-gold emerging from the fields and devices. Soft transitions into sky-blue and lavender-peach halo the periphery, lending dramatic vintage appeal suggestive of long-term album storage. The velvety, uninterrupted mint frost remains fully intact beneath the tone, with subtle cartwheel luster that gleams gently through the surface. The reverse contrasts with a lighter, more open presentation, featuring a powder-blue and pearl-white center that radiates into hues of champagne, rose-gold, and silvery peach. The grain heads, oak leaves, and ribbon bow are crisply sculpted in bold relief, attesting to a well-prepared die and early strike state with some proof-like seen. Free from abrasions and fully original, this color-rich, frosted gem is an ideal candidate for Registry Set placement or any collection emphasizing eye appeal and originality in Barber coinage. This piece represents the highest certified and CAC-approved example with none finer.

The Jett Collection.
