1904-O 50C MS65 PCGS CAC

From a mintage of 1,117,600, only 0.13% or 1,500 examples have survived the test of time for this Rare and Key Popular New Orleans Half Dollar. Only 5 have been certified at PCGS and 6 at NGC of which only 3 are CAC approved. Finer than the 65 CAC, only 2 exists of which it last sold 8 years ago for $25,850. At MS65 CAC, there have been no sales in over 6 years, which have sold between $9,600-$12,650. The newly graded present example is nothing short of sublime. Peach molted red is intermingled with silver grey, a visual perfection with no hits, marks or dings noted. Had this example been blast white, we see no reason why it will not grade higher. No doubt superior than the examples that have sold for $9,600-$12,650. Today this example has a PCGS Price Guide of $10,750, and CAC Price Guide is $12,400, and represents a small premium over a lower graded MS64 PCGS CAC that sold for $7,200 10/20 HA.
