1903 G$1 MCKINLEY MS67 OGH PCGS CAC

One of two commemorative gold dollars celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Louisiana Purchase, the Jefferson and McKinley type. Though available despite a low 17,500 mintage, these can be found inexpensively up till MS66. At the present grade, MS67 the coin climbs when well preserved and CAC approved. Finer than MS67, there are 3 - MS68 and come with a hefty Price Guide of $35,000, whist MS67+ last sold at $4,582 04/22 and $4,230 07/21 as 67+ PC CAC typically command, comparing the present example to a MS68, we find this of comparable quality. In fact, we do believe that this will end up in a MS68. While we do no play the crack-out game, the coin's quality speaks for itself and we are pleased to offer an OGH in MS67 quality. The coin is spotless, mark-less and a delightful example, clearly better than your typical MS67. Soft-salmon hues surround the devices whilst a sun-yellow patina encases beyond.
