This 1902 Indian Head one cent proof penny showcases reflective fields, creating a mesmerizing cameo-like appearance. Encased in a PR66 BN, this coin exhibits finely struck devices and remarkably original surfaces. The fabric of the coin is exceptional, and its state of preservation remains unparalleled. Coins of such high caliber command a substantial premium in the market.  Accompanied by both the EEPS (Eagle Eye Photo Seal) and CAC endorsement, and has claims to a CAMEO designation had PCGS designated as such. It holds a CAC population of 1, making it the finest example. With a mintage of just 2,018 examples, slightly lower than many of the subsequent years, we regard this coin as one of the finest produced in that particular year. The obverse showcases vibrant cobalt-blue iridescence with a deep base of antique copper-brown, while the reverse is adorned with a golden copper patina. No PCGS CAC has ever sold; however, a lower graded PR65 BN non-CAC sold for $2,040 01/22 HA. Both sides are fully struck and exceptionally attractive. Upon inspecting this specimen in person, it is bound to secure a place tucked away in your coin cabinet for many years to come!
