1900-O 10C MS66 PCGS CAC

This 1900-O Barber Dime, Tied For Second Finest technically at PCGS but none at CAC, is a top condition census example for the New Orleans Mint. Though 2.99 million were struck, survivors in top-grade Mint State are exceedingly rare, and this example surpasses all known counterparts in both preservation and visual impact even the 1 finer at PCGS ( MS66+) - which sold for $9,113 06/2018 GC. The obverse displays a steel-blue and silvery-cobalt core framed by a vibrant arc of rose-gold, violet, and champagne toning, while the reverse dazzles with deep cobalt and lavender centers that transition outward to a bold rim of golden-apricot, mint-green, and amber hues. Strike sharpness exceeds expectations for the issue, and both sides exhibit untouched originality, and faint natural speckling that affirms its stable, unadulterated surface quality. No MS66 CAC has sold in recent years. A perfect O-Mint example and important date.
