1896-O 50C XF40 PCGS CAC

The 1896-O Barber Half Dollar is one of the rarest and most sought-after issues in the series with only 1,000 survivors in all grades, a figure exceptionally low for Barber Half Dollars. This particular example features natural pewter-gray surfaces with light pastel yellow toning. Wear is consistent with the grade with only 35 graded by PCGS and just 8 receiving CAC approval. The PCGS Price Guide lists this coin at $2,750, and the CAC Price Guide at $2,480. An example sold 4 years ago for $2,640 01/20 HA and next grade in XF45 PCGS CAC for $3,408 07/16 HA, safe to say these do not show up.
