1896-O 10C MS61 NGC

Semi-key date and incredibly rare in Mint State, 1896 New Orleans Mint Barber Dime most are interestingly only found in Mint State and as a result often 5 and 6 figures. Finding 4 figure 1896-O 10C is rare in its own right. Thus a collector grade such as this MS61 serves as a perfect bridge between finding a 5 figure 1896-O 10C and a deeply worn example. Last 2 AU58 PCGS have sold for $1,800 and $3,250, whilst one other on the market a non-cac au58 is being offered for $3,750. Thus offered here a chance to acquire a toned MS61. There are no PCGS certified MS61 and MS61 has a PCGS Price Guide of $2,400, though we find this not updated. The offered example has some nice subtle envelope toning though some abrasions noted as one would except for the grade. An eye-appealing example considering the grade and a rare date to add. Priced attractively and will sell higher.
