1895-S 50C MS65+ PCGS CAC

The 1895-S Barber half dollar is a semi key-date issue, with only 2000 known to exist today in all grades. It is uncommon to find this coin in grades higher than MS64, and it is rarely seen in Gem or finer. This exceptional coin has an attractive frosted appearance with plenty of cartwheel luster. The surfaces have attractive golden hues over pint point sharp strike. A near top Condition Census, PCGS has graded only 7 coins higher than MS65+; the last 2 MS65+ have sold for $9,106 12/22 ( a different example than this ) and a choice example at $15,600 02/18. It is very rare to find a finer example as a PCGS MS67 CAC sold for $85,188 01/19. Safe to say unless you don't mind spending 10X more this coin represents excellent value with incredibly eye appeal.
