1894 $2.5 MS64+ PCGS CAC

Mintage 4,000. 1890's Liberty Quarter Eagle have been clumped with early 20th century Liberty Quarter Eagle, thus many are unaware of truly how rare and under-valued these examples are. Interestingly, most 1894 $2.5 examples are UNC and seemed to have been saved despite the low mintage. As such choice examples can be seen. With a PCGS Price Guide $4,500 at MS64+ and no CAC sale ever; we do see MS64 PCGS CAC at $3,720 08/22 HA and $4,080 06/21 HA however both of these lower grade examples pale in comparison to how truly magnificent and choice this example is. We initially thought this would be a MS65 - look at the mark-free surface with booming luster. Nothing more is needed to be known that this 1894 MS64+ PCGS CAC is choice for the grade and we feel this will be a MS65. Priced just a tad over a MS64 PCGS CAC, we recommend this purchase.
