Safe to say there were few that escaped circulation and from being melted for their silver content. With the majority clustered around AU and Low Unc, any finer and this date become rare. At the very top of the totem pole exists 2 example in MS67 which would fetch approximately $45,000+ today. This present example is the undisputed 3rd Finest after the 2 MS67 CAC. This MS66+ PCGS CAC with no auction comps and a Price Guide of $11,500 shows lustrous gold hues encased by fiery crimson edges. The strike is sharp unlike many other high grades, but the most important characteristics is this specimens spectacular eye appeal which outshines even the two MS67.
