Stunningly Toned New Orleans Half Dollar. New Orleans 50c are incredibly tough to find in choice grade with choice surface. Not only because of the weakness in strike, but also of the flat-like luster. Out of all the examples, only 45 are CAC approved in all grades. In fact, we are thrilled to have a non-toned CAC example as well for sale. No auction comps are seen since 2017 for a non-toned $1,880 and a MS64+ PCGS CAC 08/2021 for $2,400. This coin, however, outshines all the aforementioned comps with cobalt blue over highlights of neon-green surrounding the devices. An under-rated date with a beautiful unique toning.
