1893 $5 MS65 PCGS CAC

1893 Liberty Half Eagles are readily available in all grades up till MS64. MS65 and higher and this coin becomes a conditional rarity with an estimated 30 known from a mintage of over 1.5 million pieces. In fact, finer than this example PCGS shows 12 grading events, likely including resubmissions, of which 4 are CAC. The present example is superb, in fact why this is graded MS65 and not 66 baffles us. The surface both on the obverse and reverse are superb with attractive orange-gold patina over extremely lustrous surface. We do believe that this has a strong upgrade potential should you venture into that realm. No MS65 PCGS CAC has ever sold. CAC Value $4,310 thanks to strong demand.
