1892 $2.5 MS64 PCGS CAC
1892 $2.5 MS64 PCGS CAC
Liberty Head Quarter Eagle
Rare Liberty Quarter Eagle from a mintage of just 2,440! 1892 $2.5 is one of the most under-rated $2.5 Libs. Certainly the lowest mintage after 1885. Despite the low mintage, this coin becomes very rare in UNC. In MS64 NON-CAC typically sell for $4,000-$4,500. No CAC MS64 has ever sold out of the 4 CAC approved. Whilst PCGS Price Guide is $5,500. The present example is incredibly original, we see remnants of dirts in Liberty's tiara as well as scattered in the rims. A coin like this has escaped modern coin doctors and is incredibly elusive. The luster is sharp with mark-free surface. The color has a more yellow-gold patina, and will serve any advance gold collection.
