1889 50C PR62 NGC CAC

Mintage of ONLY 711 for this better date Liberty Seated Proof Half whose rarity is unknown to non-specialist as a true low mintage issue. CAC POP 2 and understandably with no CAC sale or comps to note. Last comp was for a non cac PCGS AT $960 10/20 HA and non-cac at $881 01/14 HA for NGC as most PCGS 62 non-cac have been selling close to the $1,000 mark. One will be hard pressed to find such a value representing piece as this priced under $2,000. Behind the mirrored fields, the piece has some hues of yellow and pink colors, but on the devices are grey to mahogany brown patina likely from an envelope.
