1887 1C PR65 BN CACG

The 1887 Indian Head Cent had a relatively generous proof production of 2,960 pieces, making it an appealing representative for the proof Indian cent series. This CAC-graded example represent a beautifully preserved proof Indian cent showcasing exceptional color and eye appeal. The obverse displays warm chocolate-brown and reddish copper tones with soft iridescent highlights of rose-gold and amber, accented by subtle violet and blue peripheral tones near the rim. The reverse features luminous pastel blue and aqua fields with golden-yellow undertones and rose highlights. No relevant auction comps are noted for such color; however, with no CAC sales for 7 years and CAC Price at $800, we find this representing strong value.
