1886 3CN PR65 PCGS GOLD CAC

Mintage 4,290 for the 1886 three cent nickel issue. This is a proof-only date and as such there has been sufficient demand. Despite the low mintage, these can be bought at inexpensive level. The offered example is a splendid mark-free, lustrous mint bloom specimen that we have no issue calling a PR67 or PR67+. At PR67 CAC these have sold for between $960-$1,500.
