Double Crescent Multicolored Toned 1886-P Morgan Dollar. Beyond the bold green, fuchsia, yellow, and blue colors that flow and blend over the obverse of this beautiful Morgan, perhaps the most striking and special aspect of it is the unique pattern it features—a double-crescent. This pattern was caused by the presence of two coins sitting on top of this one in a bank bag. One coin sat over the word "Liberty" on the headdress, and the other over the date and stars. The presence of those two coins caused only the exposed areas of this one to tone, creating this very rare pattern. There are hundreds of crescent toners for every double-crescent, making this piece a true rarity among toned Morgans. It has great luster on both sides and is an excellent character coin for the collector desiring something unique.
