1885 1C PR67 BN PCGS CAC

The 1885 Indian Head Cent proofs is known to be a common date in the series, but be aware that most commonly found examples are in 64 or 65 grades, whilst examples from 66 become scarcer. This present example is the scarcest and rarest in PR67 as is all toned Indian Head Proof in this grade. A splendid condition census piece boasting impeccable flawless surface and profound details. The crusty, smooth and silky surface is wonderfully decorated with pastel colors which exhibit an array of emerald green, fuchsia pink, lavender purple, mint green, lemon yellow, arctic blue, and metal gold on obverse. Whereas the reverse gracefully display stunning colors of beautiful sunset pink and orange on the one side, and emerald green with sky blue on the other. It is a magnificent piece that defines superb eye appeal. CAC has approved of 13 pieces with none finer, with the only CAC example last selling for $3,642 10/21 LE. In the past 3 years we have since seen similar toned examples sell for much more, and would recommend this piece.
